Free Fantasy Football Player Rankings QB

Drafting a Quarterback can play a crucial role on the success of your fantasy football team. Perhaps even more importantly, where you draft him can make or break your fantasy football draft.

Once the top tier quarterbacks such as: Rodgers, Brees, Manning, and Brady have been taken, you may be much better off drafting another Wide Receiver or Running Back. There is little difference in value between the next tier of quarterbacks, so save your draft pick and create the foundation of your fantasy football lineup.

Rank #    QUARTERBACKS    RUNNING BACKS    WIDE RECIEVERS    TIGHT ENDS    KICKERS
1 Aaron Rodgers     Green Bay Packers
This silent fantasy stud of 2009, is no longer flying under the rader. The young Favre mentee has arrived on the superstar scene.
2 Drew Brees     New Orleans Saints
Hot from the Superbowl victory, Drew remains a fantasy football favorite. Many sources list him over Rodgers, but I think a hangovers coming to New Orleans.
3 Peyton Manning     Indianapolis Colts
You know what your getting in Peyton, Great option if you can get him. Dont be surprised if he is extra-motivated after that superbowl loss.
4 Tom Brady     New England Patriots
Its hard to go wrong with Tom Brady. There are concerns that the Patriots have begun to lose their sparkle. Brady has gone as late as the 3rd round in mock drafts. Seems crazy that he gets out of the second round.
5 Matt Schaub     Houston Texans
The guy throws to Andre Johnson, the number one receiver in the league. You can't go wrong if you can grab him early-mid third round.
6 Philip Rivers     San Diego Chargers
His best reciever has a suspension hanging over his head, this may impact Rivers' production. Still, he is ranked 6 on our QB list.
7 Tony Romo     Dallas Cowboys
He has a great new weapon at reciever and Jessica seems to be at a safe distance, good forth round QB.
8 Brett Favre     Minnesota Vikings
High Risk Reward Player. I'm glad to see this living legend ranked with the respect he deserves. Rice & Harvin are developing and 81(TE) is a beast.
9 Joe Flacco     Baltimore Ravens
Although I usually consider Baltimore a running team, Joe really brought some offense to the team. He is quickly become a reliable QB option.
10 Jay Cutler     Chicago Bears
The arrival of Mike Martz (Offensive Coord) will open up this offense and hopefully give Cutler a chance to shine again.
11 Eli Manning     New York Giants
He is no Peyton, but still a good Fantasy quarterback option. Drafting Eli will free up an earlier draft pick, which you should use to grab a solid WR or RB.
12 Kevin Kolb     Philadelphia Eagles
Had an impressive showing last season, with Mcnabb gone. He has to play well if he doesnt want Vick screaming for playtime.
13 Donovan Mcnabb     Washington Redskins
Talk about a fantasy football player with something to prove. I wouldnt think of benching him against the eagles. He has looked great in preseason and seem to be in sync with Moss already.
14 Matt Ryan     Atlanta Falcons
Matt has looked great in camp. He had some health issues last season that hurt him, but hopefully that is all behind him now.
15 Carson Palmer     Cincinnati Bengals
This should be a great year for Palmer, he just increased in recieving threat with the signing of TO. Don't forget his #2 is Chad Ocho Cinco. The signing of their rookie TE, makes Palmer a candidate to blow up this season.
16 Chad Henne     Miami Dolphins
This guy has a cannon for an arm, and now has a great new weapon at WR.
17 Vince Young     Tennessee Titans
Vince is a super talented player. Hopefully is off-field issues are behind him and he can step up to lead the Titans to a playoff run.
18 Matthew Stafford     Detroit Lions
Picked by many as a fantasy sleeper in 2010, Stafford can take the next step in his career if he gets protection and can sync up with Calvin Johnson.
19 David Garrard     Jacksonville Jaguars
His play book consists of handing off to MJD to the left, right, and up the middle. Not a huge ROI from a fantasy football perspective, but an average bye week replacement if you need one.
20 Jason Cambell     Oakland Raiders
Now on Oakland, he will experience many of the same problems he faced in Washington. He will need better protection and will have to learn to throw the ball away if he is under attack.
21 Mark Sanchez     New York Jets
The Jets are a run based offense although with the addition of Holmes, perhaps Rex will open up the field.
22 Ben Roethlisberger     Pittsburgh Steelers
This young man is having a tough time staying out of the media. Bathroom Lovin gone wrong, is gonna make him great backup for people that drafted a QB with a late season bye week.
23 Alex Smith     San Francisco 49ers
ESPN listed Alex as a Fanatsy sleeper this year. We expect the 49ers to take the next step into the playoffs this season, and the addition of Westbrook gives Alex an escape route when pressure comes.
24 Matt Leinart     Arizona Cardinals
I am unsure on Matt, with Kurt Warner retiring, it's his job to lose. From what I am hearing out of camp, he just may.
25 Matt Cassel     Kansas City Chiefs
Certainly a let down season in 2009. There were big expectations when he left New england, but so far Brady looked the the better option.
26 Matt Hasselbeck     Seattle Seahawks
Leon Washington's arrival will help Matt open up the playbook. Hasselbeck has taken a few steps backwards over the years, and this may be his last chance to remain a starting QB in the league.
27 Kyle Orton     Denver Broncos
This is a make or break season for Orton. He lost his best recieving weapon to Miami, and the arrival of Tebow should make him VERY nervous. His days are limited if he does not perform well in the first couple games of the season.
28 Josh Freeman     Tampa Bay Buccaneers
He has the tools to succeed, however has not yet adjusted to the NFL. He gives away the ball too often, but we are willing to cough it up to being a rookie. Let's see how he develops in year two.
29 Matt Moore     Carolina Panthers
It looks like Moore's Day has finally come with Jake being sent to the Browns. He has looked good in camp & preseason, but needs to continue developing if he wants to keep Clausen off his back.
30 Sam Bradford     St. Louis Rams
This guy looked very impressive against the Patriots week 3 of preseason. Sadly, he recently lost Avery at WR, but there is still time for the Rams to make a trade to give this guys some weapons.
31 Jake Delhomme     Cleveland Browns
Jake has a fresh start on the Browns. He has looked fairly promising in camp, but only time will tell.
32 Trent Edwards     Buffalo Bills
He isnt being predicted to be a fantasy football star, plus TO went to the Bengals and that cant help his chances.
33 Michael Vick     Philadelphia Eagles
Vick has shown that he has gotten his quickness back, however he had ball control issues in preseason, with most drives leading to turnovers.
34 Tarvaris Jackson     Minnesota Vikings
Farve is back and has not missed a start since Nixon was in office, so don't draft him for your fantasy football team.
35 Seneca Wallace     Cleveland Browns
It's Dellhome's job to lose, but Wallace has certainly grabed their attention. Could be a sleeper.
36 Dennis Dixon     Pittsburgh Steelers
Ben is suspended for 4-6 games, looks like 4, but the fan favorite seems to be Dixon. There has been no indication that he will get the nod though.
37 Charlie Whitehurst     Seattle Seahawks
With Hasselbeck's future in question, this guy can step up and take the team at anytime this season.
38 Brady Quinn     Denver Broncos
Traded from the Browns this off-season, Brady joins Orton and Tebow to compete for the staring role in Denver. All signs show that Orton will start to begin the season, and Quinn has dropped to the unofficial #3 option.
39 Derek Anderson     Arizona Cardinals
We really think this guy will be the starting QB on this team very soon. Matt has not shown anything special this preseason, Anyone have Kurt Warner's phone number?
40 Ryan Fitzpatrick     Buffalo Bills
Although he certainly has a chance to play if Edwards has problems, there is little Fantasy Football value at this time.
41 Billy Volek     San Diego Chargers
Unless Rivers goes down or he is traded, there is no fantasy football value here.
42 John Kitna     Dallas Cowboys
Unless Romo goes down with an injury, there is little chance Kitna provides any Fantasy Football value.
43 Dan Orlovsky     Houston Texans
Schaub is the clear starter in Houston, so unless he goes down, there is no little fantasy football value for him.
44 Brian Hoyer     New England Patriots
Had a good preseason, but he is Brady's backup. Brady looks healthy now so there is little fantasy football value in Hoyer.
45 Jimmy Clausen     Carolina Panthers
Moore has been named the starter already, but any slip ups any Clausen could jump right in.
46 David Carr     San Francisco 49ers
Carr may have taken too many sack back in Houston, because he hasnt been able to get out of the backup role since. No fantasy football value at this time.
47 Byron Leftwich     Pittsburgh Steelers
He has a shot at being the starter, since Ben is suspended for 4-6 weeks. The fan favorite from what we can tell is Dixon.
48 Matt Flynn     Green Bay Packers
Considering that Aaron Rodgers looks like the second coming right now, there is no reason to draft him to your Fantasy football team, unless Aaron goes down.
49 Curtis Painter     Indianapolis Colts
Peyton (The greatest QB in the history of the game) is clearly in charge here. There is no point in drafting him to your fantasy football team.
50 Bruce Gradkowski     Oakland Raiders
It would appear that Campbell is the starter of the Raiders, so point in drafting Bruce for your Fantasy football team.
