Free Fantasy Football Player Rankings: Kickers

DO NOT waste a draft pick on a backup kicker. Use one of your last three picks to take a starting kicker, its much more important to pad your roster with an additional Running Back or Wide Reciever.

It is crazy to take a kicker anywhere in the first ten rounds. People seem to be much worse at drafting a defense really really early, but you certainly still see people taking kickers way to early.

Rank #     QUARTERBACKS     RUNNING BACKS     WIDE RECIEVERS     TIGHT ENDS     KICKERS
1 Nate Kaeding     San Diego Chargers
Led the NFL in points last season with 146. This guy is super reliable making 91% of his kicks last year.
2 Stephen Gostkowski     New England Patriots
A healthy Brady will help this guy get near the endzone. He is predicted to earn you 130 points this season.
3 Ryan Longwell     Minnesota Vikings
Favre is back, and will help is long-time team mate get close enough to the uprights to score some points. He is predicted to score about 130 points this season.
4 Rob Bironas     Tennessee Titans
If defenses find away to stop Chris Johnson, Bironas will benefit with consistant field goal chances. He is predicted to score about 121 points this season.
5 David Akers     Philadelphia Eagles
One of the best kickers in the league, David is an experienced professional. The eagles offense looks good with Kevin Kolb under centes, Akers should earn about 135 fantasy football points this season.
6 Mason Crosby     Green Bay Packers
Aaron Rodgers is staged to be the best QB in the league, expect Crosby to score about 130 points.
7 Garrett Hartley     New Orleans Saints
Stepped up huge for the Saints in 2009. Harley has skyrocketed up the fantasy rankings. He is predicted to score about 130 points this season.
8 Matt Prater     Denver Broncos
Becoming a more reliable kicker with two years under his belt, he should establish himself this season. He is predicted to score 120 points.
9 Jay Feeley     Arizona Cardinals
Jay is predicted to earn 117 fantasy points. Not a bad option for your fantasy football roster.
10 Robbie Gould     Chicago Bears
ESPN has Gould listed as a fantasy sleeper. That's right, a kicker sleeper. LOL
11 Lawrence Tynes     New York Giants
Had a comeback year in 2009, With the Giants offense looking challenged in preseason, perhaps drafting their kicker in your frantasy draft would be a wise investment.
12 Jeff Reed     Pittsburgh Steelers
Always a good fantasy football option, he is consistant and had a 87% success rate last season.
13 Neil Rackers     Houston Texans
Was great in Arizona, with 94% of his kicks being good. Houston is lucky to have signed him. He also makes great fantasy football commercials. Check out our YouTube Channel.
14 Matt Bryant     Atlanta Falcons
Was hurt most of 2009, back is back to reclaim his job on the Falcons.
15 Dan Carpenter     Miami Dolphins
Fell just shy of 90% last season. Should be able to earn you 100 points on your fantasy football team.
16 Ryan Succop     Kansas City Chiefs
Another ESPN fantasy football sleeper at the kicker position. I suppose the Chiefs would leverage their kicker often, until they get all their ducks in a row.
17 Rian Lindell     Buffalo Bills
Although Buffalo's offense would need to use their kicker frequently, Lindell's stock as dropped, due to some reliability issues.
18 Joe Nedney     San Francisco 49ers
Consistancy issues have dropped Nedney from previous fantasy football years.
19 Shayne Graham     Cincinnati Bengals
Started to become sketchy towards the end of 2009. He is predicted to earn 95 fantasy football points this season.
20 Orlindo Mare     Seattle Seahawks
Had one of his best years in the 2009 season. Look for him to do well again in 2010.
21 John Kasey     Carolina Panthers
Production dropped off big time last year. Is predicted to put up 90 fantasy points.
22 Sebastian Janikowski     Oakland Raiders
This guy has one of the best legs in the league. From a fantasy football perspective, Oakland will need their kicker.
23 David Buehler     Dallas Cowboys
Folk was shipped off to the Jets, so David gets the gig with Dallas. Should put up about 90 fantasy football points.
24 Josh Brown     St. Louis Rams
Brown only made 79% of his kicks last season. There are some concerns around him.
25 Adam Vinatieri     Indianapolis Colts
Once the leagues best kicker, he has suffered some injuries over the years, making him a fantasy football draft risk.
26 Jason Hanson     Detroit Lions
He only made 75% of his kicks last season. Unless it's your last pick of the fantasy draft and you have no kicker yet, leave him alone.
27 Kris Brown     Houston Texans
Why are you even reading this far down on the kicker list? He only made 65% of his kicks in 2009, and has lost the starting job.
28 Nick Folk     New York Jets
Fresh from Dallas, Folk as looked great in preseason and camp. The Jets offense has looked stale, so Folk may get the chance to redeem himself.
29 Phil Dawson     Cleveland Browns
The change at QB may help Dawson get closer to the uprights.
30 Billy Cundiff     Baltimore Ravens
There is little fantasy value with Cundiff. He is predicted to make 70% of his kicks.
