Free Fantasy Football Player Rankings: Tight Ends

Unless Favre decides to retire, which is doubtful, it would be in your best interest to consider Shiancoe as a draft day steal. He is listed far enough down the list that you can get great value with picking him in the second phase of tight ends.

I also really like Dustin Keller from the New York Jets as a fantasy draft sleeper. Grab some two more insurance players for the foundation of your fantasy football lineup, and than grab DK.

Rank #     QUARTERBACKS     RUNNING BACKS     WIDE RECIEVERS     TIGHT ENDS     KICKERS
1 Antionio Gates     San Diego Chargers
He is more of an extra reciever with the amount of times he gets the ball. Great TE if you can get him.
2 Dallas Clark     Indianapolis Colts
Peyton Manning loves stretching the defense than hitting Clark over the middle.
3 Jason Witten     Dallas Cowboys
He loses some redzone looks, because he is so valuable in pass protection.
4 Jermichael Finley     Green Bay Packers
When you get a superbowl ring in your rookie season, there is nowhere to go but down. Still a great fantasy option.
5 Vernon Davis     San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers offense has been showing signs of life again. Gore establishing the running game will help get some over the middle and screen passes to their star TE.
6 Chris Cooley     Washington Redskins
7 Owen Daniels     Houston Texans
With Andre Johnson drawing double coverage it may leave Daniels open in the midle often.
8 Jimmy Graham     New Orleans Saints
9 Brandon Pettigrew     Detroit Lions
10 Rob Gronkowski     New England Patriots
11 Kellen Winslow     Tampa Bay Buccaneers
If he can stay healthy, he should pull in somewhere in the range of 75 receptions this season.
12 Tony Gonzalez     Atlanta Falcons
Tony G is always a solid TE option. Now another year work with Matt Ryan, I should take yet another step forward.
13 Marcedes Lewis     Jacksonville Jaguars
14 Zach Miller     Seattle Seahawks
15 Dustin Keller     New York Jets
The Jets new WR additions should help DK get open often.
16 Benjamin Watson     Cleveland Browns
Suitable for a bye week replacement, due to low expectations from a receptions standpoint.
17 Greg Olsen     Carolina Panthers
18 Aaron Hernandez     New England Patriots
19 Tony Moeaki     Kansas City Chiefs
20 Jermaine Greshman     Cincinnati Bengals
This guy is AWESOME! He could be a fantasy football superstar.
21 Jared Cook     Tennessee Titans
22 Todd Heap     Arizona Cardinals
Once considered a valued fantasy football player, Heap's stock has dropped like the US economy.
23 Brent Celek     Philadelphia Eagles
Celek may drop in value from the Kolb days because he will need to provide additional protection for vick to make things develop.
24 Visanthe Shiancoe     Minnesota Vikings
25 Heath Miller     Pittsburgh Steelers
His pass protection skills are too valuable to their offense to have him running routes every down. He still could catch 55 balls or so.
26 Jeremy Shockey     Carolina Panthers
There are some durability concerns with Shockey. Although his TV commercials are very funny, he gets little love near the redzone. He is predicted to have 50 or so receptions. Young QB's like to use their tight ends.
27 Bo Scaife     Tennessee Titans
Good TE, but not alot of value from a fantasy football perspective. He doesnt frequent the endzone.
28 Tony Scheffler     Detroit Lions
Not a huge factor from a fantasy football perspective. Although with a young QB the TE is always a safety valve for getting rid of the ball.
29 John Carlson     Seattle Seahawks
30 Zach Miller     Jacksonville Jaguars
